DAVID SCHNECK received a B.A. (Biology) degree from the University of California (Santa Cruz) in 1990 and a J.D. degree from the University of California (Hastings College of the Law) in May, 1998. >From 1990-1995, he worked in microbiology and molecular biology research and has experience in microbiology, genetic engineering, and recombinant protein production. He served as a law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Phyllis J. Hamilton in 1998. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the fields of biotechnology and mechanical devices, including optical analytical instruments, electrophoretic devices, medical devices, and molecular assays. In addition to patent prosecution, his work includes licensing, trademark and copyright matters, infringement and right to use opinions, due diligence investigations, and litigation support. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the state and federal courts of California. Dave joined the firm in 1996 as a summer clerk and joined the firm full-time in 1998.
