GINA McCARTHY received a B.Sc. (Biology) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1994 and a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University in 1998. Her practice includes patent prosecution involving aspects of biotechnology and various mechanical devices. Gina also works on trademark matters. She counsels clients regarding the proper selection of trademarks and prosecutes trademark applications. She has also represented clients in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the state and federal courts of California. Gina joined the firm in 1999.
