Terry McHugh received an A.A. degree in electronics from United Electronics Institute and worked in the electronics industry for a number of years (primarily at Fairchild Semiconductor) prior to attending the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 1982. He received a J.D. degree in 1985 from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. After operating his own Intellectual Property firm from 1996-2008, Terry took advantage of an opportunity to join Schneck & Schneck. In addition to the primary focus of drafting and prosecuting patent applications within the electronics, software, optics and mechanical disciplines, he has significant experience in guiding startup companies in developing strategies to protect their technologies and in researching and drafting freedom-to-operate opinions and non-infringement/infringement opinions.
